EeeBSD test on ASUS Eee PC 701 (FreeBSD from USB)

A video demonstration of FreeBSD running on an ASUS Eee PC 701 from a USB stick. Here you can see FreeBSD booting up and running some basics like playing sounds or using the wireless card. Install a Linux Player on an EeePC or EBox running Xandros Linux |

The EeePC and Ebox is sold with with either ASUS’s own operating system (which is based on Xandros Linux) or with Windows XP installed. If you have Windows XP installed follow the installation instructions here. If you have Xandros installed you should follow these instructions. BEFORE you install our EeePC Linux Player you should make sure you EeePC is completely up to date with the latest updates and security patches from ASUS.
Installation 1) Open a Browser on your EeePC or EBox go to or Sownload FREE page and right click the EeePC .deb installation file and select “Save to Disk”
2) Choose the File Manager
3) The downloaded file will be in ‘My Documents’. Right click the file and select ‘Install DEB File…’
4) The EeePC or EBox will ask for your password, enter it. The install is quick and will finish with a dialog telling you of success.
5) That’s it. The Xandros player should now be installed. Start your SMG Server, go to your EeePC or EBox and login to our website. Select a game and you should see this on your EeePC
5) Choose Launch Application. The Player will launch and you can login and Play.
