Dec 20th
Today is officially Christmas Week. So, if you’re still catching up on your holiday spending spree and looking to buy a new netbook as a last minute gift for yourself, Amazon got some more sub-$300 netbooks available. These are aside from the Acer Aspire AODD250 we told you about yesterday.
So, here goes Amazon’s netbooks on sale that won’t make you spend more than $300:
With 10.1-inch screen and 8 hours of battery lie, this netbook will set you back from $296.99. I know that’s a couple of dollars more to $300. But hey, it’s a pretty powerful with the following specs – 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 Processor, 1GB of RAM, 160GB HDD, 1.3MP webcam
This netbook is the best if not one the best netbooks from Samsung. And for $285.19, you can have this netbook from Amazon giving you the following specs – 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 160GB of HDD, Microsoft XP and a 10.1-inch Widescreen display with 6-cell battery.
This netbook runs Windows 7. And for $292.54, it’s a pretty good buy except for the lowly 3-hours battery life. But then, the price is probably worthy of its specs – 1.6GHz Intel N270 Atom CPU, 1GB of rAM, 160GB of HDD, 10.1-inch display.
HP’s much acclaimed 10-inch netbook is also available for only $294.63. It’s features and specs include – Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 160GB of HDD, 10.1-inch LED Anti-Glare Display, Windows XP.

UK sees Samsung NC10 reduced
Nov 12th
We recently reported that the very popular NC10 by Samsung had been spotted for 299 Euros, down from 375 Euros. This time round, it’s the UK’s turn to see the netbook reduced.
Originally just Argos had the netbook for a lower price at £249.99 compared to £329.99 at Currys and PC World. Now the netbook is available from PC World and Currys for £239.99, even less than Argos. Unfortunately it’s not quite as simply as going in to the store and picking the NC10 up for that price. The companies have put a £70 reduction on the netbook but the other £20 saving, is claimed via redemption from Samsung. Still, if that doesn’t bother you, go ahead and pick the NC10 up from PC World or Currys for £259.99 and get £20 back.
