Bphone, a Fujitsu Lifebook clone with a phone, is in the zone
Okay, enough of the lame rhymes.
If you’re not familiar with the Lifebook, this was actually one of the precursors of the netbook and was an ultrasmall mobile PC with a touchscreen and a keyboard all in one tiny package.
That UMPC was no mobile phone but was able to connect via wireless. The Bphone though has aspirations of replacing your cellphone with its phone features bundled in a not-so-handy netbook package. I’m wondering how would you answer calls with this without a headset, place the screen by your face? That would be like talking on your Kindle.
The unit has a 5″ display swivel touchscreen, keyboard with a trackball built-in and a few ports for earphones, SD, USB, etc. It also has WiFi, video player and other netbook staples on top of a custom OS. Check out the videos on the links below.
