The Asus Eee PC has received new praise as the most environmentally friendly ultra mobile internet device. The Asus Eee PC 1000HE with it’s increased battery life and ultra usable keyboard won out after being compared amongst 5 ultra-portables, including the 1000HE, by CNN, specifically their segment called “Your Green World”. The editors were impressed with the “no-nonsense, but highly functional, design” and its “responsive and comfortable keyboard”.

Meanwhile, Asus have announced a new Eee PC, this time specifically tailored towards the Japanese market. This new Eee PC, labeled the 1003HAG, has integrated WWAN features that work with NTT DoCoMo’s FOMA network which is expected to deliver up to 7.2 Mbps in download speed. The other great features within the 1003HAG are the usual Intel Atom N280 processor, 1GB of RAM Wifi b/g/n support and 160GB of storage. It should arrive on Japan’s shores on May 16th and valued at about US$727, or 69,800 yen.
