Tesco are Not Selling the Dell Mini 10 After All
Jan 24th
They build our hopes up only to whip them from under us again after what seems to be a mix up in the listing for the Dell Mini 10 on the Tesco website.

We reported earlier that the Dell mini 10 had been spotted on UK retailer Tesco’s website. Dell had been a little vague prior to that regarding pricing and release dates for their 10 inch netbook but, the listing was there, unexpectedly but, live on their website and the price Tesco had the Mini 10 marked at was £349. Oops. Turns out the listing was all a mistake and customers that purchased the ‘Mini 10′ actually recieved a Dell Inspiron Mini 9 netbook instead.
The incorrect product listing has been taken down now it appears and we’re still in the dark when it comes to pin pointing an actual release date for the Mini 10. Disappointment all round but, especially for those customers that bought what they expected to be a Mini 10 only to recieve it’s baby brother in it’s place.

MSI Wind U120 suffering with 1GB RAM limit?
Jan 24th

Anyone who’s owned a netbook long enough will figure out that its stock 1GB of RAM won’t go too far when it comes to performance, especially when one is forced to make friends with Vista instead of the more lightweight Windows XP. It’s a good thing that manufacturers have provisioned for extra memory slots so that upgrades can easily be done, bringing the memory up to a nice 2GB spot which makes for a very healthy computing setup.
But what’s this? Looking at the recently exposed photos of the MSI Wind U120 innards, JKOnTheRun has found that an extra RAM slot is nowhere to be found. That means no matter how delicately a user manages to open its casing, the MSI Wind U120 will be stuck with 1GB of RAM, forever.
Perhaps MSI has done this on purpose in order to put a kind of gap between its netbooks and full-blown notebooks, but don’t you think that’s a bad idea? Limiting a product’s performance when it comes out of the box is one thing, but taking away a user’s options completely is just cruel. We’ll see how well consumers receive this when they get their hands on the MSI Wind U120. Which they can, now that it’s already available for order online.

MSI AP1900 NetTop details revealed with photos
Jan 24th

For the desktop, MSI is going to offer this sleek setup here, called the MSI AP1900 NetOne. It will be powered with an Intel Atom N270 processor, of course, hidden behind its 18.5-inch display along with all of the CPU components. The keyboard and mouse will be wired, but that doesn’t take away any points from the MSI AP1900’s awesomeness, in this writer’s opinion. Sadly, it won’t sport a touchscreen display, but some people may view that as a plus for usability. Other features are looking like standard netbook fare: up to 2GB of RAM, 250GB HDD, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0, stereo speakers and a 1.3-megapixel webcam. It will be cheaper than the Asus EeeTop by a small amount, at 499 € or about $650.
