Asus Adds an “E” and a “G” to the Eee PC 1000
Jan 11th
Having fun yet with the plethora of new netbooks announced during the CES 2009? Still staring at the convertible Eee PC? Well, here’s a few more new Eee PC models announced by Asus at the CES.
First up we have the Eee PC 1000HE and Eee PC 1000HAE. Both netbooks belongs to the Eee PC 1000H series, and both sport chicklet-style keyboard. This keyboard also has the right shift key placed on the left-side of the up arrow. The netbooks also has reduced bezels providing more surface area among keys.
What makes these two Eee PC 1000’s stand out is the fact that they will have 6-cell batteries with each cell of the battery having 2.6 amps as compared to the usual 2.9 amps. What this means is that their battery can last up to a few good more hours, which according to Asus is around 8.7 hours. So, that’s extended battery life for you which probably explains the additional “E” on the branding.
As for the difference between these two netbooks, the 1000HAE won’t have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth features.
In addition to these two netbooks, Asus also displayed the Eee PC 1003HG Go which obviously is bragging about its 3G feature. Aside from that, the Eee PC 1003HG Go is pretty much your old Eee PC 1000H variant.
Lots of Eee PC to watch of for in the coming months or so right? Interesting times ahead for the netbook industry indeed.

Ubergizmo spotted this blue 10-inch netbook all by its lonesome waiting to be noticed at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas. The netbook was labeled the Blu:sens FreePC_10p and sports a 10.1-inch display, 1.6GHz processor 512/1GB RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive, WiFi, Bluetooth and some of your usual netbook ports.
We’ve not heard about this netbook as well as the company before so we turned to the trused old Google search to find out more abou them. Blusens is a popular consumer electronics manufacturers based in Spain. It’s product ranges from MP3 players and other devices.

Asus Also Rolls Out a new Nettop at CES – the Eee D200
Jan 11th

We got too excited by the new netbooks which Asus announced at the CES that we’ve missed this new nettop – the Eee D200. But that doesn’t mean that this new Eee PC Box doesn’t deserve some coverage. And besides, there’s something to it that we really find interesting – a 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen that lets you access your files without needing an LCD to view it.
Aside from that screen, the Eee D200 shall have a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, 512 MB Flash ROM, 2GB RAM, 2 HDD bays that can accomodate up to 4TB of data, supports 6 channel HD audio, DVI output, and a slot-loading DVD Drive. Guess what? the box can also serve as an 802.11n router.
The Asus Eee D200 will have an estimate SRP of $600. Release date is still unknown, although it will most probably in the next few months.
