HP Unveils the New Mini 2140 Netbook

HP is joining major computer players in the CES 2009 frenzy with the launch of their new netbook called the HP Mini 2140. Featuring a simple and yet refined all-aluminum case and lightweight design, the HP Mini 2140 will surely please HP Mini fans with the new upgrade to their favorite HP Mini 2133.
Quickly, we have the following specs of the HP Mini 2140
- Intel Atom processor
- 10.2-inch diagonal scratch-resistant HP Illumi-Lite LED display
- 80GB SSD or HDD
- 92% full-size QWERTY keyboard
- VGA webcam
- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0
- 2-cell or 6-cell battery pack
- HP Dura Keys
- HP 3D Drive Guard
- HP Panel Protection System
Those specs are certainly not your one-of-a-kind specs but considering that the quality of the previous HP Mini 2133 netbook, we sure have reasons to be excited for the release of this new HP Mini netbook. Fortunately, it will be released sometime this month with a price tag of $499.

Asus Eee Top to Adopt Cyberlink Software Solutions

Asutek and Eee has agreed on a shipment bundle agreement that will enhance the Eee Top’s position as a digital home entertainment powerhouse. Under the said deal, Asus will be shipping its Eee Top ET1602 loaded with Cyberlink’s PowerCinema and YouCam software solutions.
With the PowerCinema software, you will be able to control moviews/video, music and photo viewing on the Eee Top ET1602 through a touchscreen interface. Likewise through a touchscreen interface, you would be able to create webcam effects and facial-tracking animated 3D avatars using the YouCam software.
PowerCinema and YouCam fits well the Eee Top ET1602’s 15.6-inch single-touch LCD screen as well as its 1.3 mp webcam.
