Inverse coloring on Eee PC 1000H 1 and 6 Keys
Dec 22nd
If you look at the 1 and 6 keys on the Eee PC 1000H, you’ll notice circles around the numbers with inversed colors:
It appears as though the keys are also like this on Eee PC 904 and Eee PC S101 devices.
Many people on the forum are curious as to why these keys are like this, but nobody seems to have a concrete answer.
What do you think?
Eee PC Gets Forbes Asia’s Product of the Year Award
Dec 22nd
With a few days left until the new year ushers in, expect to hear this kind of announcements regarding the Eee PC and perhaps other netbook brand. Starting off what could probably a trend on the Eee PC’s name, Forbes Asia has just awarded the Product of the Year Award to the Eee PC netbook series.
Forbes Asia selected the Eee PC for “its innovation and disruption’, EFY Times reported. Forbes Asia also said that the Eee PC changed the global PC industry.
This award is in addition to the recent honors received by the Eee PC such as Stuff Magazine’s Gadget of the Year/Computer of the Year Award, NBC.com’s Best Travel Gadget, Computer Shopper’s Best Netbook of 2008, PC Pro’s Hardware of the Year, and Best Notebook, and DIME Magazine’s 2008 Trend Award Winner.

Samsung to Release the NC20 in February
Dec 22nd

The Samsung NC10 may still be a too young entrant into the netbook market, but that wouldn’t stop Samsung from following it up with a more powerful successor to their netbook. Words on the street say that Samsung is already preparing to launch the Samsung NC20 come February 2009.
And what does the NC20 has to offer?
- 1.3 GHz VIA Nano U225 processor
- 12.1-inch display
- 160 GB Hard Drive
- 1GB RAM
- Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Ethernet
- 3-in-1 card reader
- 1.3 megapixel camera
Interestingly, the said netbook or should I say notebook would not use the Atom Processor but the VIA Nano processor instead? Shall we stop calling this a netbook and consider it as a regular, affordable notebook instead?
The Samsung NC20 will retail for around $642. The more reason that it should be considered as an affordable notebook PC.
