Pocket Lint have spent some time with the new Packard Bell ”dot” and have posted up a selection of photo’s of the new netbook.

The ”dot” will be available to buy from PC World in January but, the model has been officially launched by Packard Bell and Pocket Lint have one of the units to test out and take notes on. Unfortunately their ‘findings’ are a little disappointing as they noted that other than the fact that the “distinctive cylindrical hinge features the red dot”, specifications for the “dot” were average and I have to agree with that description.

This Packard Bell netbook is powered by an Intel Atom CPU, is fitted with an 8.9inch screen, with 1GB RAM and storage is wrapped up with the 160GB hard disk drive it has installed. Nothing startling but, there should be an option to install internal 3G connectivity in the future so thats something at least.
