Samsung NC10 a Great Deal?
Oct 1st
What Laptop have been leaked information that the Samsung NC10 will in fact be cheaper than it was expected to be when it comes to the UK this month. They have also posted up a spec sheet (pictured below) with details of the Samsung netbook.
The source has stated that on release the NC10 will cost £299 rather than the anticipated £329. In addition the netbook specs have changed, with a 160GB hard drive replacing the 80GB that was expected to be fitted in the NC10. Put the reduction in price together with double the size of hard drive for the same price, a choice of three colors (blue, white and black) and a non-gloss 10.2 inch screen and Samsung could have a huge hit on their hands with their NC10 netbook.

Everun Note Unboxed
Oct 1st
Jkk over at jkkmobile has had the opportunity to unbox an Everun Note prior to starting using the netbook as a test machine. He recorded the unboxing and the video is interesting to watch, showing the Note, by Raon Digital and the well designed packaging it comes in (which looks amazing).
The Everun Note looks smaller than I expected it to be but, it does look good and most of the keys on the keyboard seem easy enough to use comfortably. I was pleased to see the inclusion of an optical mouse and a memory card reader too, nice additions and with 2 USB ports, connectivity seems pretty good too. The antenna for the 3G card isn’t installed in this unit but, that wasn’t really expected and Jkk will add that himself. Of course, the Everun Note has a touchscreen feature and that looks like a great feature which seems easy to use.

Netbook Prices Going Down
Oct 1st
If you haven’t joined the netbook bandwagon yet, then you’re in luck or should we say, would be in luck? That is if the market trend in Taiwan spills over internationally, as Digitimes is reporting that netbook vendors are starting to clear their inventory by reducing the prices of their netbooks. These vendors are in rush to free up their netbooks before the year ends.
Except for MSI which could not reduce the price of its Wind netbook, Asus, Acer and HP have all brought down the prices of their netbooks.
Asustek Taiwan has already reduced the price of their oldest Eee PC, the 701 to around $249. It is also planning to reduce the prices of the Eee PC 1000 Linux version to NT$17,000 from $20,000 and the Eee PC 1000H will get a price reduction of around $10,000. The Eee PC 901 Linux version will also get a price reduction from $17,000 to $15,000.
Similarly, Acer has also brought down the price of the Aspire One from 16,800 to 15,500. HP for its part has reduced the price of its 2133 Mini-Note Linux version from 17,900 to 15,900.
Digitimes also reported that more netbook price cut reduction will happen before the year ends.
So, you just might want to hold off your plan of buying a netbook now and wait till this market trend reaches the international market too.
