Acer Europe’s product manager for the AA1, Robert Perenz has confirmed to the Register Hardware that the Acer Aspire one netbook may soon have 3G connectivity feature. Perenz said that the Acer Aspire One supports HSDPA dongles but Acer has not released the utility to initiate and managed connections to carriers yet.

Those who have bought the Acer Aspire One may have noticed a flyer that invites them to download code that will allow the netbook to support HSDPA. This code which was not available back then will soon be released as promised by Acer as it currently undergoing final testing at the Acer Lab.

Once an internal module for the HSDPA is released Acer Aspire One owners would soob be able to use the space provided for a SIM card in their netbooks.

Let’s see if this would boost sales of the Acer Aspire One netbook then.
