Rumour: Dell Inspiron 910 is Inspiron Mini?
Aug 15th

It seems that the Dell Inspiron Mini will be not named as such. Instead it is to be called the Inspiron 910. That is, if what a Brazilain blog is claiming is true. They claim that they have the official specifications on the upcoming Mini Dell Inspiron, however there are no sources listed and it’s the only website reporting it as news rather than a rumour. So take this information with a pinch of salt.
As well as the different name, the website is also reporting that the Inspiron 910 will be released on 22nd of August. It will also support 802.11n and have bluetooth connectivity. That is, if the reports are correct. Again, take this information with a pinch of salt until further details emerge.

Averatec’s Netbook is a MSI Wind clone
Aug 15th

Averatec’s netbook bears more than just a strong resemblance to the MSI Wind. It is an MSI Wind clone.
Joanna Stern from Laptop Magazine has asked Averatec the question many have been asking about their soon to be released netbook – will it be an MSI Wind clone? Not all that surprisingly, Averatec have stated that yes, it is a MSI Wind clone, it will carry the Averatec branding but is actually just an MSI Wind.
For those who don’t know, the upcoming netbook will have a 10.2 inch display, 120GB hard drive and Atom processor. Averatec are currently thinking of increasing the size of the hard drive to 160GB making it twice as big as the standard 80GB hard drive you get with the MSI Wind.
